Every year, the second Friday of September, dedicated as the Day of the Gas Operator, provides an opportunity to celebrate the work, skill and dedication of those who have contributed and continue to contribute to the development of the Romanian natural gas sector - a sector with deep historical roots and a strategic role in the present and future of the country's energy.

Federația Patronală a Energiei conveys, on this occasion, its appreciation and gratitude for the dedication and professionalism of those who, day after day, ensure the safe and efficient operation of the entire system - from extraction, transportation and distribution of natural gas. Through their technical rigor, innovation and team spirit, these specialists contribute decisively to Romania's economic stability and energy security.

Today, Romania is preparing to write a new chapter in this history. With the start of production at Neptun Deep, our country is on track to become the largest producer of natural gas in the European Union, consolidating its position as a regional leader and strategic partner in the transition to a low-carbon economy. In a world in the midst of energy transformation, this flexible resource remains key to the balance between decarbonization, security and industrial competitiveness.

The future of this industry depends on our ability to integrate technology, infrastructure and human capital in a sustainable, performance-oriented and adaptable model. That is why investment in infrastructure and skills becomes essential. So does the deserved recognition of those who make these processes possible - the natural gas professionals who often work in silence, but whose results are felt in every household, factory and network.

On the occasion of Gazist's Day, Federația Patronală a Energiei in Romania sends a message of deep respect and gratitude to all the professionals who work in FPE's member natural gas production companies. These people represent the backbone of a strategic sector, which supports not only the daily functioning of the economy, but also Romania's geopolitical position in the region.

Through their rigorous hard work, technical expertise and constant commitment to excellence, FPE member companies' gas workers ensure the continuity of natural gas production - a vital resource for domestic consumption, industry and national energy security. It is they who maintain the balance between supply and demand, community needs and economic imperatives. At a time when Romania is preparing to become the largest natural gas producer in the European Union with the start of production at Neptun Deep, the role of these professionals becomes all the more important. They contribute decisively to strengthening our country's position as a regional leader and strategic partner in the European energy transition.

We sincerely congratulate and admire the FPE member companies' gas workers - people who, through their dedication and competence, make possible the functioning of a complex system, essential for the economic stability and energy future of Romania. This day belongs to them and deserves to be celebrated with full recognition.
