2020 - Activity summary

 

  • 4 STANDING COMMITTEES with separate work related to the Upstream, Midstream, Downstream Gas and Downstream Oil sectors.
  • 24 SUBJECTS for which I have consistently and strategically campaigned
  • 21 HIGH-LEVEL MEETINGS of which 6 meetings with representatives of political parties before general elections and 6 public debates
  • 215 ADDRESSES sent to more than 16 different stakeholders, public authorities and institutions
  • 10 EXISTING WORKING GROUPS which operate independently, and 8 more to be created under action plans agreed last year.
  • 1 TECHNICAL COMMITTEE set up within the Upstream Standing Committee to become a trusted body for generating expertise in support of lawmaking.
  • 2 INDEPENDENT STUDIES by reputable research companies in support of advocacy efforts
  • 21 POSITION LETTERS developed by our members' designated experts on priority topics.

3 major OBJECTIVES were considered:

  • Strengthening relations with internal and external stakeholders
  • Positioning as an industry leader
  • Develop and promote advocacy and social responsibility programs

The objectives set were based on 5 STRATEGIC DIRECTIVES:

  • Institutional Dialogue
  • Decarbonization
  • Digitization
  • Workforce
  • Encouraging partnerships

2020 was A YEAR OF CONSOLIDATION, which materialized through:

  1. Long-term strategy

We have set the strategic directions for the coming years with a single goal in mind: Being the voice of the Romanian oil industry

  1. Crisis management:

In the context of the coronavirus pandemic and associated restrictions, we provided a platform for our members to respond in an aligned way

  1. New members

We welcomed two new members active and important companies in the oil exploration and production sector in our organization.

  1. Focused approach

Between October and December, all 4 Standing Committees have been operationalizedfollowing a focused, sectoral approach.
