The Oil and Gas Employers' Federation is growing stronger with new members from the most important companies in the sector and welcomes the recent accession of AMROMCO Energy and EXPERT Petroleum. Through sustained efforts, the FPPG now brings together the main natural gas producers, covering more than 98% of domestic production, thus proving its representativeness for the energy sector.

”Unity is essential for our industry, especially now, when we are facing challenges such as the energy transition, the role of gas in Romania's fuel mix and new regulations for the free market. With the two companies side by side and promoting the same climate of cooperation, the federation will strongly support the proposed measures for economic recovery closely linked to encouraging domestic production of natural resources”, says Franck Neel - President of FPPG.

In the context of the effects of the impending global economic crisis, we believe that Romania has an opportunity that few countries in Europe have - natural resources. The importance of this long-established industry for the growth of the national economy is essential, Romania's strategic objective being to increase energy security at national and regional level. The development of the sector which we represent can only be achieved through legislation which stimulates investment in the exploration and production of resources, by diversifying the natural gas market, increasing the competitiveness and efficiency of the energy sector, while at the same time taking care to offer the best conditions for end consumers. The action plan undertaken by the federation, through the support and active involvement of its members, aims to better align public policies with the need to develop the oil and gas sector.

”Together with AMROMCO Energy and EXPERT Petroleum, we will continue the specific activities of the federation. As the legitimate representative of the industry, FPPG reiterates the inherent nature of transparent dialog between business, public authorities and civil society. Promoting a constructive partnership between industry and public representatives will enhance Romania's capacity for economic recovery”, concludes Cătălin Niță - Executive Director FPPG.
