Romania's oil and gas industry has an impressive history, with mature oil fields, thus making a significant contribution to the national economy (in terms of GDP and number of employees).
This industry also generates additional benefits for Romania in terms of security of supply, affordable oil products and natural gas. We thus distinguish three types of impact, direct, indirect and induced, at the level of onshore oil exploration and production activities.
