On November 11, the launch of the volume "The impact of the war in Ukraine on the energy sector in Romania and Europe", written by Dumitru Chisăliță. The paper appeared at Didactic and Pedagogical Publishing House, in the Academica collection, and its publication was supported by FPPG Federation of Oil and Gas Employers.

The realization of this volume is "a courageous gesture", as Daniel Apostol, Director General of the FPPG, characterized it, because it talks about an event that is still in progress. It is also an act of courage in terms of the necessary differentiations it makes: for example, the one between 'energy independence' and 'energy stability', in the context of an energy sector whose prospects alternate between turning Romania into an energy hub and maintaining its subsistence level.

"The impact of the war in Ukraine on the energy sector in Romania and Europe" is an instructive work, a "handbook", as Marius Petrescu, a trading expert, called it, useful for understanding the moment, because this "crisis should not be wasted", but should be used to better prepare for the future.

Dumitru Chisăliță is a reputed energy specialist in Romania, President of the Intelligent Energy Association, professor at Transilvania University of Brasov, with activity in several private companies and the Ministry of Energy, with a multidimensional understanding of the energy sector.

The paper "The impact of the war in Ukraine on the energy sector in Romania and Europe" is the 49th volume by Dumitru Chisăliță, a number worthy of admiration, especially since most of his works are dedicated to energy.

This volume is part of the section dedicated to Energy in the Academica collection, which is turning into an "agora of energy", through the fervor with which Romanian specialists in this field devote themselves to writing, as Claudiu Săftoiu, Director of the Didactice and Pedagogical Publishing House, pointed out.

The work touches on several topics of interest for this period: a sketch of the European impact of the war, the obsession of dependence on Russia, the energy transition and the ways to save Romania from Russian imports, representing a valuable perspective, elaborated by a specialist, useful for a good navigation among the current trends in the energy sector at national and European level.
