Ministers, entrepreneurs, top managers of big companies, local authorities, <\/em><\/strong>industry experts together for the first time to support employers and employees<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over 5000 jobs available in Cluj-Napoca alone. The capital of Transylvania is one of Romania's cities with an acute labor shortage. The fields are diverse, but the most sought-after profession is programmer. How do we attract qualified staff, what is the trend in the labor market, how do we convince the management of large companies not to move their production to other countries are just some of the topics that will be addressed at the first meeting of the conference series Jobs Pact<\/strong>, which will take place on September 11 in Cluj- Napoca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Minister of European Funds, top entrepreneurs, successful managers, representatives of local government as well as tax and legal experts will debate the problems faced by entrepreneurs and employees in order to solve the shortage of skilled labor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference will also see the presentation and launch of a ,,Study on employment in Romania in the context of the EU. Analysis of the latest data\u201d, <\/strong>by the Association for Decision and Strategic Analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among those who will address topics related to the jobs crisis and its impact on business are Roxana M\u00eenzatu - Minister of European Funds,<\/strong> Mircea Co\u0219ea teachers<\/strong> and Mihaela Lu\u021ba\u0219<\/strong>, but and Bogdan Badea - CEO Hidroelectrica, Corina Popescu - CEO Electrica, Adrian Volintiru - CEO Romgaz, Franck Neel - member of the Board of Directors responsible for the Downstream Gas activity OMV Petrom, Ramona Jurubi\u021b\u0103 - country managing partner KPNG, Carmen Neagu - director EnergoBIT, Drago\u0219 Anastasiu - president Eurolines Romania Group, Luisiana Dobrinescu - tax specialist and entrepreneur Camelia \u0218ucu.<\/strong> The conference will be moderated by Adrian Maniu\u021biu - founder of EM360.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emil Boc, Mayor of Cluj-Napoca<\/strong> is also expected to open the conference series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of the conference there will be presentations by the representatives of the organizers, Cristina Chiriac - CONAF president and Franck Neel - FPPG president<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt present we can talk about a serious labor shortage that affects both Romanian entrepreneurs and foreign investors regardless of the field of activity. Recent studies on employment show that Romania faces considerable differences by gender, age and level of education. If we put all this together with the birth rate and labor force migration, the outlook for the coming years is bleak and that is precisely why CONAF supports the need to adopt measures to halt demographic decline and reduce the labor shortage, says Cristina Chiriac, President of CONAF<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWithout the right workforce, everything becomes incredibly difficult, the nuances of efficiency and businesses are less relevant. The current HR crisis in Romania is the result of over 20 years of profound structural change. FPPG is committed to remain a strong partner and to contribute decisively to finding solutions today to meet tomorrow's needs\u2019,<\/em> says Franck Neel, president FPPG<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The conclusions of these discussions will be concretized in a Memorandum of Understanding, agreed and supported by all participants in the debates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pact for Work Conference will take place on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at 09:30, in Cluj-Napoca, Opera Plaza Hotel, Cristal room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
