A pilot project in public-private partnership can be the key to accelerate and implement concrete measures proposed by the business environment to make the Romanian labor market more flexible. This is the main conclusion of the discussions between the Minister of Labor and Social Justice, Mrs. Raluca Turcan, and the representatives of Pact for Jobs - PPM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea of a pilot project between the ministry and the private sector, with a project manager to work on the implementation of measures from the private sector to the state to create an efficient labor market was embraced by the Minister of Labor and Social Justice. The reduction of undeclared work, de-bureaucratization and digitalization on the labour market were also discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raluca Turcan, Minister of Labor and Social Justice, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201eI appreciate the involvement of business in solving labor market problems and believe that any solution is welcome. The public-private partnership is a first step in co-opting the private sector in the act of legislating and implementing viable solutions, beneficial to an efficient functioning of the labor market. In line with the proposals in Jobs Pact<\/strong>, we intend to extend the support measures for those who employ day workers or seasonal workers, we will support the HORECA sector and we want to have a reduced level of untaxed work.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Minister of Labor and Social Justice also talked about \u201enew surprise laws that will also help Romania's economy in the next two weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In turn, the President of the National Confederation for Female Entrepreneurship - CONAF, Cristina Chiriac, the initiator The Jobs Pact<\/strong>, he said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201eI am glad that we have openness on the part of state institutions and that they are willing to implement the solutions coming from the business environment. Jobs Pact<\/strong> is a project that comes up with solutions to problems in the labor market and I am happy to see that what was debated in Cluj, for example, regarding the situation of social assistance recipients, is taking shape and steps are being taken to reintegrate them into the labor market. These are punctual measures, but if applied coherently, they lead to making the labor market more flexible and efficient in the employee-employer-state relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Drago\u0219 Anastasiu, President of the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, present at the meeting with the Minister of Labor and Social Justice, brought up the \u201cKurzarbeit\u201d and the need for industries severely affected by the pandemic to receive funding through this program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201eIndustries deeply affected, such as hospitality, events, sports and so on, need to receive the support allocated by the state in order to survive further. I am counting on the involvement and resolving the shortcomings that have arisen so that we don't have problems in this area in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Raluca Turcan gave assurances that the application of the \u201eKurzarbeit\u201d will benefit both employees and employers, stimulating the former, who have been left without work due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting with the Minister of Labor and Social Justice was attended by Cristina Chiriac - President of CONAF, Nicoleta Munteanu - Vice-President of the National Association of Entrepreneurs, Andreea Negru - President of the Association for the Development of Local Entrepreneurship, Magda Volonciu - Professor and PhD in Labor Law, Dragos Anastasiu - President of the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and C\u0103t\u0103lin Ni\u021b\u0103 - General Director of the Oil and Gas Employers' Federation, co-signatory of the The Jobs Pact<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main objective of the document Jobs Pact<\/strong>  is the identification of solutions and strategies that in the short and medium term can contribute to balancing the labor market in Romania and the creation of a legislative framework to ensure a coherent evolution of the labor market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jobs Pact<\/strong> is an initiative started in 2019 by the National Confederation for Women's Entrepreneurship (CONAF) together with the Oil and Gas Employers Federation (FPPG). Since 2020, the Employers' Confederation CONCORDIA joined as a strategic partner. Later, during the project, the Romanian Industry Employers' Confederation (CONPIROM), the National Association of Entrepreneurs (ANAA), the Association for the Development of Romanian Entrepreneurship (ADAA), the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK), the Academy of Economic Studies of Bucharest (ASE), the University of Bucharest and SCA Magda Volonciu and Associates joined the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

project Jobs Pact<\/strong> has been discussed and agreed with the majority of political parties, being a document that represents a consensus of principle of the political actors in order to solve the current problems in the labor market and to identify opportunities for development and empowerment in the medium and long term.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
