Oil and Gas Employers Federation (FPPG)<\/strong>, with the support of specialists Consilium Policy Advisors Group (CPAG)<\/strong> announces the start of work on the analysis of the The oil and gas industry's contribution to the Romanian economy<\/a>, <\/em><\/strong>now in its second edition. The analysis involves the collection and interpretation of relevant financial data from the Romanian oil and gas sector, which has been and remains a strong contributor to Romania's economic growth and development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first edition of this study demonstrated the significant contribution of the oil and gas sector, generating 1.8% of GDP in 2017-2019, which is about half of the contribution of the entire energy sector, 6% of current budget revenues, and 1.3% of budget tax revenues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The oil and gas industry has to manage a range of political, financial and social pressures to move to a low-carbon energy system, while meeting the expected long-term global demand for oil and gas - a pressure exacerbated by the current geopolitical context. This challenge of simultaneously achieving these objectives needs to be fully understood by all stakeholders and reflected in sector strategies and policies. The study is intended to support an applied dialog with relevant actors in this respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The realization of the second version of the analysis comes to reiterate the overwhelming importance of this sector based on clear arguments, quantifying the undisputed economic benefits of the industry, resulting from the coagulation of data and indicators obtained from the companies participating in the study. This industry is about more than pump prices and gas bills. It also means a contribution to GDP, jobs, investment and significant taxes paid to the state budget.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This work will be prepared with the financial and administrative support of Federation of Oil and Gas Employers (FPPG)<\/strong> and will reflect the independent assessment of Consilium Policy Advisors Group (CPAG), <\/strong>under the coordination of Mr. Laurian Lungu - confondator CPAG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are therefore pleased to invite all companies with relevant activity (at least 80% of turnover) in the oil and gas sector to access the platform (fppg.ro\/studiulcpag\/<\/a>) which contains all the information on the methodology of the study, the questionnaire dedicated to data collection, as well as essential information related to the confidentiality of the use of the data received and aggregated by the independent expert during the study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Oil and Gas Employers\u201d Federation (FPPG) is established on the basis of the Social Dialogue Law no. 62\/2011, is representative at the level of the \u201dEnergy, Oil and Gas and Energy Mining\" sector and, through its affiliated companies, represents over 95% of the domestic production of oil and natural gas, the oil and natural gas transportation sector, the natural gas supply sector as well as a significant part of the refining, marketing and distribution of petroleum products in Romania.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FPPG constantly supports the principles of stability, predictability and competitiveness of the legislative framework applicable to the energy sector in Romania, as well as the responsibility of the companies in the sector in terms of safety, health and security of operations and personnel.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
