\"We don't just hire job candidates, we hire people who can develop a successful career...<\/em><\/strong>\", the message conveyed by Alexandra Lupu - Talent Acquisition Specialist at Schneider Electric, centralizes the idea around which the Forum event was developed: Careers in the Energy Industry, 2023 edition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 8-14, 2023, the event Forum: Careers in the Energy Industry, organized by the Association of Energy and Electrical Engineers, in partnership with the Faculty of Energetics. The particularity of this year's event is the multiplicity of locations chosen by the organizers, taking place in the Central Library of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, the Laboratory of High Voltage Engineering, the Faculty of Energetics and partners' locations,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can summarize the event in figures as follows: 380 participants, over 100 company representatives, over 50 volunteers in the organization, 21 participating companies, 8 media partners, 11 partner associations, 5 workshops, 11 stands, 2 technical visits, 16 company presentations, 8 networking breaks and many hours of preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the first day of the event, special attention was paid to the Faculty of Energetics, where the official opening ceremony took place, bringing together speakers representing industry and academia: Horia Necula - Pro-rector of the Politehnica University of Bucharest, Diana Robescu - Dean of the Faculty of Energetics, Mircea Bi\u021boiu - President AIEE - Association of Energy and Electrical Engineers, C\u0103t\u0103lin Ni\u021b\u0103 - Executive Director of the Oil and Gas Employers Federation, Silvia Vl\u0103sceanu - Executive Director of HENRO - Association of Electricity Producers, Ciprian Diaconu - President of the Romanian National Committee CIGRE. The day ended with the presentation of the students' practice, held by Mr. Ion Tri\u0219tiu, the Vice Dean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The overall message of the opening speakers can be summarized by the observation of Mr. C\u0103t\u0103lin Ni\u021b\u0103: \"It's the right place and the right time, you have countless opportunities to do what you love.<\/em><\/strong>\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday and Wednesday, May 9-10, 2023, attendees had the opportunity to watch company presentations, interact with company representatives at the booths and during networking breaks. Through the event's partners, such as Rompetrol, Nucleareletrica, PNE, OMV Petrom, Volt, Schneider Electric, Enel, Distribu\u021bie Energie Electric\u0103 Romania, a wide range of specializations in the energy sector was covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of the top company representatives reached out to the students, offering advice on both career and personal life. They were open, sharing their experience and offering valuable guidance for young people's professional and personal development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday, May 11, was a special day, not only because of the workshops held by some of the Gold partners: OMV Petrom, Schneider Electric, Volt, Enel, Rompetrol, but also because of the location chosen for the event, namely: the High Voltage Engineering Laboratory of the Faculty of Energetics. The particularity of this special location made a significant contribution to the quality of the event, offering young energy engineers a unique opportunity to get closer to the industry. This added value and created a favorable environment for the professional development of the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday was a unique moment. The whole day was dedicated to the launch of the first Energy Exploitation Center in Europe, initiated by partners from Nuclearelectrica. This event was organized by a team including volunteers from the Association of Energy and Electrical Engineers, who made a valuable contribution to the launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the last two days, the event offered the participants the special opportunity to participate in technical visits to important energy objectives in the country, such as the photovoltaic power plant in Berceni and the 110\/20 kV Chitila substation, organized by Enel, as well as to the Bicaz dam. Participants had the opportunity to explore and better understand the country's relevant energy infrastructure and projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event Forum: Careers in the Energy Industry is essential in the context of the industry, being a response to the growing demand for human resources in the labor market, as well as the need for young people to expose themselves to large companies and understand the current needs of the industry<\/em><\/strong>, as the messages sent by company representatives show: \"You made a winning bet when you chose to pursue a career in engineering. Engineering is not an easy career, but this should not deter anyone. The fact that engineering is constantly evolving makes it even more interesting and challenging.<\/em><\/strong>\"- Mr. Radu Vasile<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Association of Energy and Electrical Engineers<\/strong> is a professional, non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, apolitical, independent, professional organization with legal personality, established in 2022. The purpose of the Association is to contribute to increasing the role of energy and electrical engineers in the development and modernization of the energy system, a pillar of economic development. The AIEE promotes the principles of sustainable development of the energy system and provides the appropriate institutional, material and social framework for its members to manifest themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
